In this day and age with so much legislation being introduced and sensitive public issues being an everyday occurrence it is vital that the NSW club industry has a very strong and well resourced peak body, who deliver relevant and credible services to member clubs.

ClubsNSW provides a wide range of benefits and services for nearly 1400 member clubs delivering fantastic value for member clubs.

WORKPLACE RELATIONS SERVICES

Sometimes industrial disputes can pop up from time to time and can prove to be a costly exercise. The current cost of private advice and advocacy can run into thousands of dollars per day. ClubsNSW membership acts as an indispensable and inexpensive insurance against this.

Our experienced team of industrial advocates and human resources professionals are acutely aware of the problems facing our industry including the various stakeholders involved in industrial disputation from the industry unions to the Commissioners assigned to club industry matters. Accordingly, the professionalism and the knowledge of ClubsNSW Workplace Relations Team provide member clubs a competitive advantage over the law firms, not to mention the cost savings.

MEMBER ENQUIRIES CENTRE

Often situations come up and you don’t have an answer. No query is too big or too small for our Member Enquiries Advisors, who handle more than 22,000 enquiries from members every year. Not only are they professionals, but they’re trained in every aspect of club operations. The Policy and Government team develops policy, addresses key policy issues as they emerge and provides members with advice to assist in their planning, as well as developing submissions on behalf of the club movement on a wide range of issues. And deal with a host of issues including:

FLEXIBLE LEARNING

Whether you are a director, manager or general club staff, if you live in a remote area or your workload keeps you from attending critical training sessions vital to your role, then the ClubsNSW Flexible Learning Program is for you.

The ClubsNSW Flexible Learning Program is designed for boards, managers and staff and offers a mix of face-to-face training, online training (e-learning) or a blend of both.

CLUBSNSW E-MARKET

ClubsNSW e-Market is a ClubsNSW initiative which facilitates donation, exchange, sale or purchase of club equipment and goods between members of the Association. This service is currently complimentary for all ClubsNSW members and is administered by the Member Enquiries Centre (MEC).

INDUSTRY COMMUNICATION

A high quality informative monthly publication, Club Life (Circulation – 17,500, readership 75,000 per month) keeps clubs acquainted with the latest news in this fast-moving industry.

Also available is the invaluable Directors’ Guide, a plain English guide to legislation for directors now in its seventh edition and is available in hard copy and CD Rom. In addition, a regular news program, Club News is aired on Sky Channel fortnightly highlighting key issues and featuring guest appearances by industry leaders and commentators. More than 125 information eCirculars are provided to clubs annually with distribution weekly.

Changes in legislation, information updates and industry news are featured in the eCirculars keep club managers, directors and staff abreast of what is happening in the club movement.

STATEWIDE REGIONAL MEETINGS

Some 55 meetings are held in 13 metropolitan and country regions every year, which all member clubs can attend. All meetings include speakers and discussion about the latest events affecting clubs. All regions are financially supported by the Association and each elects a State Councilor to represent its interests at ClubsNSW State Council meetings.

State Councillors, representatives of all ClubsNSW affiliated Associations, and the Board of Directors, meet at least bi-monthly to discuss all key industry issues as well as local issues of great importance to the regions.
