Revesby Workers' Point of Difference

Careers

Looking for a career with a leader in the hospitality industry?

Our group of Clubs have an established reputation that continues to be held in high regard through our multi-award winning venues, which also includes our Mooney Mooney Club located on the Hawkesbury River and Revesby Workers’ Sports Club.

As an industry leader that has undergone a large-scale multi-million dollar redevelopment, there are plenty of opportunities for career-orientated individuals.

Our diverse organisation includes award-winning multiple food and beverage outlets, a fitness centre alongside a 90-place long day childcare centre.

Our R-POD Culture

Our People are our ‘R-POD’ (Revesby’s Point of Difference’). The points of our Star logo for R-POD represents each department.

What started back in 2008 as our organisation’s belief has now become embedded into our culture.

Service is the key to our success. Staff tell us this, and the results are showing with record levels of revenue across our organisation.

Through the efforts of our staff and their belief in R-POD, Management are strongly placed to ensure that our staff are some of the most recognised and rewarded in the hospitality industry.

What’s it like to work with us?

The great working conditions under our Enterprise Agreement provides many staff benefits that few businesses can claim to have, from Birthday Leave to Paid Maternity Leave. Our ongoing success following our $100 million redevelopment in improving and diversifying our organisation is underpinned by our R-POD Rewards & Recognition program. Following is some of the comments from our team on what it is truly like to work here…

Staff Comments:

“The Staff, Supervisors and Duty Managers make this Club a great place to work” “R-POD Events – Sharyn throws an awesome party” “I really enjoyed my day on Australia Day. I made all our patrons laugh with my headwear – had a great day!!”

“Helping create and taste the new cocktails of the month”

“Achieving the first FISH (3rd Place) Award. A Duty Manager started clapping and a photo was flashed. I felt so great to be rewarded for my work. My face also went bright red”

“This was my first R-POD event and the first major function that I worked. I absolutely loved working such a large function and was very impressed at how much effort went into a staff event”

What about professional development?

Internal, external, local, interstate or even overseas, our people are trained and developed across our operations to maintain our ‘Point of Difference’. We know that training and development of our people both engages, and provides career path opportunities.

Does Management listen?

Yes! Staff are surveyed four times a year since 2009! Management wants to know staff likes, dislikes, what engages them, what are we good at and what we can do to be a better employer.

Workplace Gender Equality

Gender equality is achieved when people are able to access and enjoy the same rewards, resources and opportunities regardless of whether they are a woman or a man.

The aim of gender equality in the workplace is to achieve broadly equal outcomes for women and men, not exactly the same outcome for all individuals.  To achieve this requires:

  • workplaces to provide equal remuneration for women and men for work of equal or comparable value
  • the removal of barriers to the full and equal participation of women in the workforce
  • full and genuine access to all occupations and industries, including to leadership roles for women and men
  • elimination of discrimination on the basis of gender particularly in relation to family and caring responsibilities for both women and men

Achieving gender equality is important for workplaces not only because it is ‘fair’ and ‘the right thing to do’,  it is also vitally important to the bottom line of a business and to the productivity of our nation.

As part of our notification and access requirements, Revesby Workers Club confirms that the following reports for the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) 2022-2023 have been lodged.
