Bar 240

Think plush carpets, glowing marble, soft leather and spectacular chandeliers dripping from the ceiling. The new Bar 240 is the perfect place to escape the rush and indulge in a little luxury.

Named in recognition of the 240 members, known as the ‘Foundation Members’, of which fourteen were women, all with equal rights. These members were named in an affidavit submission, dated 1 May 1962 made by the original secretary, Brien Higgs, to the Metropolitan Licensing Court. This was in support of a conditional application for a certificate of registration for the club.

Bar 240 has a great range of drinks for all occasions, including a substantial cocktail list to satisfy all tastes.

The Lounge

The Lounge is an open spaced lounge area with free-flowing access to both the  Bar 240 and Dining Precinct. Enjoy a glass of wine before dinner or drinks with friends on footy night.

The lounge has been dubbed the “new hub for sport viewing” with a huge 197 inch high impact screen, weighing a big 448kg with a screen display area of 11.34m2.

The  Lounge is the place to be for all the footy finals, pay per view fights and all other live sporting entertainment.
