Seniors Christmas Concert 2018

The Seniors Christmas Concert was held on Thursday 13 December 2018, with special guests in attendance, Leader of the opposition Michael Daley MP, Cameron Murphy (East Hills Labor Candidate)  &  Chris Gambian (Banks Labor Candidate)

The crowd was treated to a wonderful Christmas lunch of Roast turkey, honey glazed ham with chat potato, pumpkin, carrot and peas and gravy with warm Christmas plum pudding with brandy custard for dessert.

Our seniors were entertained by Christian Guerrero and Monique Montez – a fabulous day was had by all. We look forward to next years’ Seniors Concerts, starting back in February.

Workers’ Giving Tree Supporting The Salvation Army Appeal

Revesby Workers’ Club and the local community have come together and donated more than 1000 items to the Salvation Army Christmas Appeal.

The Salvation Army Christmas Appeal helped those doing it tough and supported around 300,000 Australians over the festive season. The donations from the Revesby Workers’ Club community during Christmas supported the appeal by giving much needed toys, food and gifts to others who need that extra support.

All of the items have now been collected by Padstow Community Care, an organisation who distributes the food and gifts on behalf of the Salvation Army.

We cannot write this post without the mention of RWC Member & superstar, Gail Wright. Once again, Gail has gone out of her way, purchasing a large amount of gifts for the Giving Tree and ensuring that local children receive Christmas joy this year!

Health Mates Food Drive was also a resounding success with over 350kg of food, which will be distributed to needy families over the ensuing weeks.

School’s Cheque Presentation 2018

The Revesby Workers’ Club School’s Cheque Presentation was held on Friday 30 November 2018.

Each local school invited, received a cheque in the amount of $3000 to finance various projects within each individual school. The event also gave various school representatives the opportunity to have morning tea with the Board Of Directors, as well as guest presenter, and Rugby League legend, Anthony Minichiello.

Minichiello was also on hand to present his Minifit project, including a school holiday FREE CLINIC for local kids, to be held in the January School Holidays.
