COVID-19 Restriction Changes l Friday 15 May 2020
The recent announcement by the NSW Government to ease COVID-19 restrictions, which will allow more businesses to open, more people to stay in work and more personal freedoms, from Friday 15 May is a positive and welcome move for many.
However, the restriction on cafes and restaurants to seat only 10 patrons at any one time, when our club can accommodate over 800 collectively in its restaurants, means we would be opening our doors to provide a dining experience to just over 1% of our restaurant capacity.
Our focus, as it has always been, is to ensure we provide quality experiences to all our members and guests, whilst ensuring the future viability of the club. Therefore, until restrictions are eased further and the club can comfortable meet both of these priorities, our venue will remain closed.
Whilst we remain shut, we are certainly not standing still. A small team of staff have continued to work behind the scenes completing minor building works, rebranding some facilities, developing plans to further enhance our various offerings and implement initiatives to improve each member experience for when we are able to reopen.
On a further note, our café TwoTwo//OneTwo, which has been operating an all-day takeaway menu during this time, will now be able to accommodate up to 10 patrons at a time to enjoy a sit-down meal. For information menu and dining details, visit twotwoonetwo.com.au.
As a community club, we are very much looking forward to welcoming back our members and guests. Until this time, stay safe, keep connected and support our community.

Vale James (Jim) Finn
/in Community, News /by Justin SkinnerVale James (Jim) Finn – RWC Badge No. 311
On Saturday 08 August 2020, we celebrated the life of James (Jim) Finn Born 23 December 1934, who passed away 07 May 2020 aged 85 years.
In his youth, Jim served as an Able Seaman in the Royal Australian Navy; responsible for essential repairs and maintenance to ship hulls, deck and cargo.
Jim was also an active member to the Hero’s Hill Sub Branch and when this branch folded, he was instrumental at establishing the cenotaph where it stands today. Anzac and Remembrance Day services have been held there for the past 6 years and Jim has attended each one, despite impending illness, to recite the Ode.
An active Revesby Workers’ Club member (Badge No. 311); joined 20 November 1963, just one year after the club officially opened. He was avid supporter of the Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs; acknowledge by the club for this ongoing support with Life Membership.
Held in high regard by the Revesby Workers’ Board, it is only befitting that Jim’s service was the first held at the cenotaph and that a plaque acknowledging his contributions be positioned there.

Revesby Workers’ Celebrates International Nurse’s Day
/in Community, News /by Justin SkinnerTuesday 12 May was International Nurse’s Day!
We can’t hold a celebration for them here at the Club, but we can thank them by delivering such much needed cheer.
Revesby Workers’ Club Director, Dennis Hayward was busy last week, delivering chocolates and goodies to Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital’s Consumer & Community Participation Manager Denise Abboud. The hospital’s Director of Nursing and Midwifery Services, Linda Campbell, was on hand to deliver the messages of appreciation to the deserving staff.
Right now, we are indebted to all of the medical staff, and their teams working around the clock to provide the care required to patients in the face of this unprecedented pandemic.
A heartfelt thanks goes out to all of our wonderful nurses!
