Packing Hope: Supporting Women in Crisis
Revesby Workers’ Club’s commitment to community support was on full display in June, with the Senior Leadership Team dedicating a day to volunteering at Escabags HQ—an organisation providing practical assistance to individuals escaping domestic violence.
Working side by side, the team packed emergency escape bags, carefully assembling tote bags filled with essential items designed to offer immediate support, dignity and a sense of security for those leaving unsafe situations. Revesby Workers’ Club is a proud stockist of Escabags, ensuring members of the local community have access to these vital resources when they need them most.
Reflecting on the Club’s involvement, Club president Christine Butters said, “Our support for women and families began back in 2018 through our work with local shelters, which naturally led us to Escabags. We’re incredibly proud of the role we play, and any initiative that supports women and families and adds real value to our community is something we’re committed to backing.
