“Tribal Pride” – Supporting The Bankstown Koori Elders Group
Earlier this year, Revesby Workers’ Club commissioned an artwork in support of the Bankstown Koori Elders Group.
Aptly named “Tribal Pride”, the pieces on the artwork show their hunting tools, shields, message sticks and digging tools, all etched with designs of bush tucker, totems and culture. The sand under the piece comes from Broken Hill. By commissioning this piece, Revesby Workers’ Club support the Elders group in growing and showing their culture.
The piece will be on display from 2021 in the Brett St Foyer adjacent to the escalators. We certainly recommend all members to stop by and view this wonderful piece of art.
